EMC announced the launch of the next generation of XtremIO at EMC World 2015, presenting XtremIO Version 4.0. The latest iteration features new capabilities for market-leading all-flash array which is set to boost breakthrough performance, scalability, workload consolidation and automation.
Existing XtremIO customers are entitled to a free software update delivering new functionality and performance. The new 40TB X-Brick building blocks double the density of previous XtremIO systems to support bigger and faster clusters. The newest XtremIO all-flash array delivers mission-critical protection, petabyte-scale configurations and up to 33% more performance.
The software updates to copy data management services and enables rapid provisioning of multiple high-performance and space-efficient database and application clones. XtremIO Version 4.0 includes enhanced support for hybrid cloud and private cloud storage services for scale-out storage consolidation across all workloads.
The new XtremIO 4.0 now supports new larger all-flash array configurations, expands on-demand capabilities and consolidates workloads at unprecedented levels of performance and availability. It’s possible to transform data centre applications with breakthrough in-memory copy services, enabling entire workflows to be streamlined. It even provides enhanced support for hybrid cloud and private cloud storage services for scale-out storage consolidation across all workloads.
