EMC Brings Flash Through Leading Regional Partners at Gitex 2014

At Gitex this year EMC sponsored some key partner stands and was featured at these stands on the show floor, to underline the transformation through IT, for businesses in the region and worldwide. Between October 12th and 16th EMC Middle East showcased 3rd platform technologies and best-of-breed solutions. EMC’s ‘Redefine IT’ theme was brought to life, through its showcase of advanced Flash and Hybrid Cloud storage solutions, supported by its local and regional channel partners.

  • Arrow’s theme here was Redefine Flash. The EMC sponsoredArrow stand allowed visitors to experience demos through EMC VLabs on flash solutions  such as XtremIO, the all-flash scale-out storage array for improved i/o performance. Demos also covered VNX, the high-performing unified storage with unsurpassed simplicity and efficiency, optimized for virtual applications and Data Domain the protection storage solution for backup and archive.
  • Mindware: Mindware presented the simple, efficient, flexible path to the cloud by focusingMindware on VSPEX converged infrastructure, a leading pre-integrated Infrastructure stack which allows businesses to deploy a cloud ready data center in no time. . The EMC sponsored stand also showcased presentations on VNX, and Data Protection
  • StorIT’s theme here was Redefine Cloud. Their stand featured continually running FlashStorIT presentations, and VLab demos on VNX2 and VMware integration, VNX2 and Microsoft’s SCOM integration as well as ViPR Software Defined Storage Resource Management.

Looking Towards the Future of IT

EMC and its partners used the opportunity to demonstrate the latest disruptive technology organizations need to utilize to stay on top of the latest trends like Cloud, Big Data, Social, and Mobile. With a focus on cutting-edge solutions, EMC showcased the benefits of flash storage and its ability to take IT transformation to a new level with XtremIO. With the business world reaching a tipping point in terms of data outpacing IT capabilities and storage, it was evident that organizations would need to consider virtualization, Hybrid Cloud, and Big Data analytics to stay on top of the change towards the 3rd Platform while staying ahead of the competition and ensuring that the next generation of IT workforces are equipped with the best solutions to help redefine IT.
